shyt reminded me of that episode in Street Fighter V where Ken, Ryu, and Fei Long, fight them Muay Thai hitmen and they figure out them nikkas is always off balance due to kicking so they timed them nikkas and started grappling and body slamming them to win.

Boxer just timed him with hands and made everything count.

This is basically what brehs mean when they talk about boxing in a street fight.
first time my favorite anime was mentioned in the wild :mjcry:

I'm willing to bet that the boxer is also trained in muay thai or whatever the Indonesian equivalent is but switched to boxing because he has good power in his hands. That happens a lot in Southeast Asia

That was a terrible example. Op thought he had him one.:mjlol: :mjlol:Any competent Thai fighter will have a boxer limping and unbalanced off 1 kick. Any competent fighter would also not be missing kicks like that.

And what were the rules? Let me guess, no knees or elbows? Because a Thai clinch would've ate dude alive.

But none of that ended up happening, could have, would have, should have, but it didn't happen?

Opponent worked out the range and timed him, that's got as much to do with the missed kicks as whatever you've suggested? He also would have timed him coming in with knees and elbows too if we are looking at that footage.

Muay Thai fighter wasn't using his distance enough and had pretty weak and scared kicks. You can tell he was scared to throw his weight in his kicks for fear out of the boxer advancing and closing the distance, but you can't throw scared (especially when you already have the advantage starting out with the distance). He then lost confidence in his kicks (which was the best tool he had of used right) and started boxing the boxer :martin:

Not to mention, these fights aren't a 1:1 ratio in skill, so in no way does this represent Muay Thai vs. boxing ad a whole. Put Rod Tang in that bytch up against any boxer
Rod tang would whoop most people's ass regardless of modality.
