im surprised it wasnt like 300 million

only reason it didnt make that much is cause of run time...the film is long....if it were say 1:45-2 hours long, this shyt mightve done $400-$500 domestically....but i'm glad they didnt compromise the movie for money....no reason to, they knew the money would come no matter what.....

it doesnt feel long, but 2:15 is long running time if it's about money.....most movies go for 130-145, maybe pushing 2....

all big blockbusters surpass 2 hours these days.

that's not true....most movies try to stay less than 2 hours cause it means more viewings, which means more money, which is what i said....now, it's not absolute, but that's what most try to go by....some movies, like star wars, jw, come comic movies, etc., can be the exception cause people are gonna see it no matter what....

Well here in san antonio all the major theaters were showing stars 24/7 for the past 3 days averaging about 40 showings a day at just one theater

The only movies i like to be under 2 hrs is comedies....everything else should be at 2.10-2.30 range

i agree, i like most my movies 2-230 long...but the industry doesnt...they about that money...so the faster they can get people in/out, means more money....

I think Batman/Superman tops out around $160M opening weekend. Superhero movies are starting to fall a tiny bit and people will be concerned it might not live up to what they want Superman to be and all that bullshyt. So, I think those Star Wars records are going to be safe for a long time.
