:dead: it tried to be. At least it looked good.

It looked phenomenal and that's why it made so much loot. It was an event. it was that thing you had to go to because of the tech. And that's fine but I've seen Dances With Wolves...and Pocahontas....and at least Disney gave me some dope music

Yeah I mean, such a beautiful looking film. He just didn't give us the characters and story to compliment it. I actually do think this next one will be dope. I got faith in Cameron. He knows he didn't nail the script.

We knew the OW would be tremendous...I'm mostly interested in the holds.

International, it won't touch Avatar. The currency exchange shyt doesn't work in it's favor.

I could see it *maybe* taking domestic though.
John Boyega is about to feast... :whoo:
They all about to feast.

Ridley the most though...seen a bunch of "A Star Is Born" typa shyt. Might just be hype but who knows. The "Skywalker" of these movies don't seem to do so well....

FWIW, Boyega actually has more lined up at the moment.

Maybe, you actually can't say for certain. Like I said, this franchise doesn't guarantee success across the board. If she doesn't audition well, then....:manny:

Clearly, she'll get SOME boost.

What is Sam Worthington up to, besides the planned 17 Avatar sequels?

I'm not hatin' BTW, she seems a cool chick. Just saying, no guarantees.

And if Boyega is "The Han", maybe he's also "The Harrison"....:yeshrug:

I got a hunch that Ridley will be following Emma Watson in the sense she'll put her career on the backburner a bit once Star Wars is over (like Watson did post-Harry Potter). And like Watson she got that goofy but classy British girl white vibe locked down so she'll be loved all around the world even if she won't have any noteworthy roles or performances to show for it.

Boyega seems like a cool dude all-around. I root for him since he's the same age as me and it's crazy to see a young breh not only land a role in Star Wars, but the lead role as well. It reminds me of how when I was a kid, it was a dream of mine to be in a Star Wars movie. Now that I think about it, that dream never really did die out, either.

Agreed. She's supposedly already signed up for college courses. Which is odd, she said she was starting in January...but they are supposed to start filming in January as well. Maybe she's just taking a light class here or there.

I kinda consider him on a completely different level really.

Isaac starred in a Coen Brothers flick...he's a made man already.

Yeah, he has long graduated from strong supporting actor (Drive, Sucker Punch) to lead roles (Inside Llewyn Davis, A Most Violent Year, Ex Machina), dude was already way on the come-up long before he became attached to Star Wars.
