Most of us live in America.... and currently a lot of us are home and been home for the most part today.

Avatar is on FXHD and been on since 12:30 eastern and not one of y’all mentioned it or are even watching it:russ:

Overrated movie that no one really cares about:lolbron:

I watched like 20 mins of it then cut it off to watch Captain Marvel:troll:

It looks like James Cameron is back in the spotlight, this time for challenging the massively successful Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In an interview with Indiewire that resurfaced this week, Cameron took the series to task, criticizing it for its repetition and simplicity:

“I’m hoping we’ll start getting Avenger fatigue here pretty soon. Not that I don’t love the movies. It’s just, come on guys, there are other stories to tell besides hyper-gonadal males without families doing death-defying things for two hours and wrecking cities in the process. It’s like, oy!”

Interesting... Do you think he saw the impending risk to his record way back then?

:ehh:Damn at some of y’all saying “they didn’t deserve this”

But here is how you can in a non stan way counter that argument and explain why they did deserve this.:patrice:

The didn’t use any fancy gimmicks or marketing to achieve this (they barely even marketed the movie)

They didn’t stay in the theaters for damn near a year (they barely been out 100 days)

And contrary to popular beliefs, they really didn’t “rerelease” as a rerelease is just that. When a movie leaves the theater for a bit. But then comes back. A4 never actually left theaters, they added a recut with extended scenes, but it’s remaIned in theaters since its debut.

But why they deserved this? :usure:

Cuz this was a mega franchise that’s taking them 11 years and 23 films to build to this. It wasn’t like an overnight thing or a one time thing like other movies. They laid the ground work, did the work and it paid off in this conclusion and it’s earned them the right to do these other things or open up other doors in the process that weren’t even open 5-10 years ago.

i agree with this actually, i feel like these non-spoiler campaigns are actually bad for sales numbers. You are actually encouraging people not to spread word of mouth about your film.:mjlol:

what marketing genius thought this was a good idea?:dahell:
I understand the desire for people see your movie as you intend them to get the experience you want them to have but still, you have to realize that is literally the opposite of marketing right?

They can get away with it because the MCU is so big now, but when i see other film studio competitors try to copy this strategy i just laugh like, you now this shyt gonna flop now right?:pachaha:
