Both my TV and external 1TB HD died on me today.

Samsung LCD 32" brought in 010 just out of the blue whilst I was working on my uncle PC died, blank screen no picture, tried hitting every button on the remote and nothing.

What are my options, how is Samsung's customer service anyone had to deal with them before?

I think the external is good money, I had the same issue with it sometime last year. It's an Hitachi and the build quality is terrible.

The USB port gets damaged but I don't know if I should send it in cause most likely I won't retrieve my data.

If it is an easy to open you may be able to use it as an internal to retrieve your data... Same thing happened to my WD that had dropped about 100 times... took it out of the enclosure and its still working perfectly

Sounds fukked up...my 1.5 tb is still on the fritz. Light started flickering...i guess it might be the circuit board.

I keep putting off getting another external to back up everything on my current one. I need to stop putting it off. Got like 60gb of movies and 20gb in porn.

I had a samsung lcd go out on me. They have a known issue with power supplies, I bought mine in 08 or 09 I think. They fixed it for free it took about a week, thwy even let me go through best buy to return it even though I got it somewhere else.
