After the shootout and he took off, they had an officer down and back up setting up position.

These dudes were throwing homemade grenades at these cops!!!!!

In the chaos he hid. They closed a radius, guessing that he had to be within it Nd started sweeps. He was hurt and left blood on the car and then they found some on the back of a house.

He then at some point was able to get to that boat, which was outside the perimeter they set.

That is the only point they fukked up on in my mind. If that guy hadn't have checked his boat(canyou imagine peaking under the tarp and seeing the dude?) He might have been anle to rest for an hour or two, wajt for complete darkness and find a way out....in theory.

Thing is, if the police supposedly searched that area, why wasn't that boat checked with blood leading right to it? :heh: Them people applauding the cops should save it for that homeowner.

He was taken in for medical treatment so who knows who talked to him, but you're going conspiracy theory with your fear of that policy. You don't have to be read your rights before questioning under the public safety exception in the case of an ongoing emergency or danger to public safety. A good lawyer could easily get testimony after a certain point thrown out if it becomes clear that there was no longer a threat to public safety. This isn't some getting wisked away in the night never to be seen again policy. It's like if a shooter is a on the loose and you catch one of his accomplices and you ask him questions without reading him his Miranda rights because the criminal is still at large and dangerous to the public.

With how public this is, they'll try to make a statement by giving him a "fair" trial.

A U.S. attorney announced they're not reading him his Miranda rights due to the public safety exception.

You can make a strong case in saying that the American people, both good and bad actually solved this.

- Pictures the FBI used to identify the suspects were given to them by citizens :salute:
- Citizens called in and gave tips to identify these guys :wow:
- It was the patriotic citizens of America that robbed the 7 11 that showed the suspects on the store's camera :troll:

Meanwhile DHS, FBI, State Police, and local are searching random homes miles away, playing with robots, fiddling with their thumbs, and asking for cold water when they only been on the scene for 5 minutes :flabbynsick:

I saw the anonymous source who said that, and I get the public policy justification but I'd rather that they read him his rights. Then again, I have no idea what type of intel they have so I can't judge the threat. Regardless, given the publicity, he'll get a fairer trial than if he did some shyt low key.

It's all good news. But with all those pseudo-tanks, assault rifles, and army-like gear for one guy, you better watch out for the militarization of police. This was a very real, yet very public display of militaristic police power.

Beware of it becoming normalized and accepted, rather than an exception. Otherwise, it breaches "Posse Comitatus", which old America gave a warning about: Posse Comitatus Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

Don't let the police start moving like the army.
