Also, as to pay increase I would have handled it via the union. It seems they were trying to keep you there, but because of office politics they couldn't.
Anytime there is a transfer, its like starting a new job, because, everyones role is different. Might even want to start looking for another job, when a transfer happens, especially
if the boss, makes the decision and allows the supervisor to not receive the new transfer
few questions:
Did they say why you were fired? or was it a layoff because of cost?
Was there an advance notice of termination? was there a few warnings?
What does the union say about terminations?
How many blks are in the company?
Who was hating on you the most?
As to the new venture, good idea, but also dont let the credit union damper your goals and corporate and upstart opportunities.
