I am not looking for a job. I do not plan to return to the workforce in that manner. I do not believe a black man can get a fair shake on the job in the 21st century.

Also, as to pay increase I would have handled it via the union. It seems they were trying to keep you there, but because of office politics they couldn't.
Anytime there is a transfer, its like starting a new job, because, everyones role is different. Might even want to start looking for another job, when a transfer happens, especially
if the boss, makes the decision and allows the supervisor to not receive the new transfer

few questions:
Did they say why you were fired? or was it a layoff because of cost?
Was there an advance notice of termination? was there a few warnings?
What does the union say about terminations?
How many blks are in the company?
Who was hating on you the most?

As to the new venture, good idea, but also dont let the credit union damper your goals and corporate and upstart opportunities.

The grass isn't greener on the other side breh, that same racism you confronted in your old job you will confront if you try to make moves as an entrepreneur, I'm not saying you should or should t go to corporate but don't delude yourself about the world outside of corporate america, that world is different and some people are more comfortable with one or the other, but don't let racism be the deciding factor

i've been in similar situations 3 times but this forth time i decided to start my own sh1t. these crackas will carry themselves like they know some sh1t but they're dumb ass hell. the 3rd job i just decided to take the position they gave me while i got my money up to start my own sh1t. it's pointless to give your ideas to these companies (that don't belong to you) when they don't have you in their long term plans.

i would suggest to get back in the same field before starting your entertainment company. try a company that is black owned or black run. but you just gotta watch for toms.

whenever sh1t ain't right be working to jump on the next ship. at least so that you're not looking like a sucka in their eyes. life is all about having a plan b and c.

since you know social media better than them i'd destroy them on the internet. especially facebook. they don't know how this internet works and think it's over. i'd turn it up. fuq it. sink all of them. they think profits were a little bit down but i'd turn the whole city against them.

You also need to improve your professional communication. Many grammar mistakes throughout the video and your emails.

When a company is talking layoffs, the last thing you should do is contact higher ups telling them according to language you've interpreted in your union contract, you're owed money for working a different position.

You also need to improve your professional communication. Many grammar mistakes throughout the video and your emails.

Sucks you were terminated, but not sure I would have made a video for this situation.

That shows you how inept of a CEO he is. As poor as my grammar was, he still wanted me to write the credit union's social media policy.

Unless you have a high level position or connections, you are either a predator or prey. You either use and manipulate nikkas or get used and manipulated. What position of power did you really have? You had perceived power. You didn't see what was coming until it was too late. You didn't have any real power or influence you just thought you did. Short term victories mean nothing on the battlefield. You didn't really have an edge or an angle. If you did you wouldn't know what the people with the real power intentions/plans/angles were and moved accordingly. just chalk it up as a lesson learned. Everything isn't always what it appears to be.

The Baby-Boomers know their time is fleeting.

So the POLICY MAKERS, who are white, will decide to raise an interest rate, raise a tax, etc., with or without your input.

You do not make the decision on Well's Fargo raising the rate, or the Fed. lowering one.

Your situation sucks but its really nothing special. I think you greatly over-percieved your worth to the company. It took you how many months to make a simple online media presence? That shyt should take two weeks tops. It seems you had "janitor" duty and by that I mean you had your hands dipped in a lot of different things but didn't really own anything other than the social media thing. Calling out the CEO at any time is a huge no-no. I think you just need to learn from this experience and use it to fuel your future success. Don't let one firing end your career.
