Funny enough, Boosie is prolly the closest thing to our generations version of Pac. But he's Boosie though he's too distinct to be that heavily linked but you still hear the influence in his music. A Boosie/Pac track would've been timeless. :to:

Boosie is and has always been ignorant and wack.
He got Pac comparisons because of regional love and nikkas believing in his raps more after he caught a case.

You need a lot of elements to try and patchwork you a 2pac and he got compared to the GOAT for some of the least important aspects of the whole deal...not even just on some simple be a dope rapper shyt.

:snoop:

Again... you can't Build-a-Pac, but for you young nikkas that missed out on one of the greats, this is probably the best you have right now, at least stylistically.

Of all the people dikk riding Pac right now...he actually just does HIS thing, has a comparable skills set for the modern era to Pac's and is currently dropping dope projects back to back to back, get up on it.

I can tell from this reply that you've never listened to Boosie's catelog all that extensively breh. I'd go back and peep some of his more introspective joints. Boosie was the first rapper since Pac to embody that thug spirit while still making songs that had deeper messages to them.

Ironically, Boosie is from just outside Pac's era because he started out as a teen rapper with Concentration Camp and C-Loc in the late 90and his shyt was hard back then. His claim carries more weight off the strength of being from the 90s. I'm definitely not saying he's Pac but he's not far off in terms of subject matter and depth.

:stopitslime:Maybe y'all nikkaz too young to remember

But Boosie had the same lighweight buzz Pac had when he got locked up

Pac didn't go worldwide until All Eyez On Me Dropped

Yeah he had a good fan base prior to that but he went international after getting out of jail

Still think Boosie could have had his shot too but he fumbled the ball

Pac was already international before AEOM. I had MATW and I know acts who owned tapes and cds of Strictly and even 2Paxalypse back in the day. Granted the guy who owned the first album used to buy literally damn near every rap cd that came out but the point stands. He was international from Above The Rim, he was the main reason I wanted to see that movie cos I knew who Pac was back then.

No one mainstream is going to be that honest :francis:

Or mainstream :mjcry:

You don't have to be Black Korea Ice Cube, but; this is some bullshyt

Same thing that my nikka Elvis did with Rock n Roll
Justin Timberlake, Eminem and then Macklemore
While silly nikkas argue over who gon' snatch the crown
Look around, my nikka, white people have snatched the sound
This year I’ll prolly go to the awards dappered down
Watch Iggy win a Grammy as I try to crack a smile
I'm just playin', but all good jokes contain true shyt

It's lazy logic (the real problem in music is there are NO BLACK PEOPLE with any real power), but, this is legit the only real statement he makes about race on this album (not counting the GOMD video), but, he falls back immediately.

These "woke" rappers are legitimately saying nothing of substance. Just "it's hard for black people" and "black women are queens." And that's only because it's "hip."

Even Drake's neutral, culture vulture ass dropped one line and an Instagram post.

I don't even expect much on DAMN.--Kenny made the easy Trump diss on The Heart IV.

I'm just getting old.

This why ion rock with none of these rap nikkas on some personal shyt. Mfs is real life weirdos

What's weird about this shyt?why yall bent out of shape:martin:?

Enough time has passed and Pac is a icon....would you get mad at a boxer comparing themselves to Muhammad Ali,ball players emulating Jordan,Iverson,Kobe?a pop artist emulating/"dikkriding" Michael Jackson?

It only looks weird to the untrained eye, because Pac is raps only icon of that level:wow:

OR is that the real reason alot of posters mad in this thread:ohhh:

The streets decided this about Boosie,it ain't self proclaimed like Troy Ave,Kodak Black etc.

Boosie needs to chill. His music has some elements of Pac but he is not even close to being the 2Pac of his generation, that's the thing 2Pac is really one of the first and last of his type. If you admire 2Pac or want to be like him that's one thing but to put yourself in his class when the streets outside of your region haven't co-signed it that's another, and that goes for every one of these lightweights claiming to be the next Pac.

Pac with that VY Canis Majoris shine.

Dead and gone, but the light of his shine still traversing space, hitting the earth 21 years later:wow:

Haters need shade like decalcified CAC's...Some of them black, even:wow:
