Remember the 2010s viral social media star Boonk Gang? Well MTO News learned that he's now given up being a social media star, and has a 9-to-5 job.
The social media star has decided to take a step back from social media fame - and get a regular job. According to Boonk his life was spiraling out of control. He had been using drugs, and getting routinely arrested.
If he didn't get his life together, he may have died. But luckily, he turned things around.
MTO News learned that Boonk has been working as a bricklayer, tiler, and mason. He's already finished his apprenticeship, and now the former social media star makes more than $50 an hour in the union.
Congrats to him.
Boonk Gang, real name John Robert Hill on August 3, 1996, first emerged on the scene as a rapper, but the antics he shared on the Internet are what made him famous, or infamous.
He went from Facebook, to YouTube, and then Instagram and Twitter filming himself committing crimes or doing stunts. He most often documented himself stealing things like a box of chicken or donuts.
