I feel McGruder has largely superficial societal analysis heavily influenced by a certain ideological lens, which undermines some of his most scatching critiques because they aren't followed to the full extent.

Went to one of the poorest schools in the country at the time.

Look at the world thru a black and white lense.

STILL managed to get mine.

And STILL try to see the world thru a positive lense even tho ill probably never see no TRUE forward progress.
But for my son.

Cool but didn't like how Huey and Riley were drawn. Mcgruder has a unique style that I liked but the one shown is too anime-esque.

His style with those two compared to other characters he's drawn has always seemed a bit anime like.
