Just closed The Caves of Steel by Isaac Asimov. I'm guessing this is book 1 in the Robot series and I, Robot was 0.5.
Great book. Loved it more than I, Robot. I knew it was a murder mystery but didn't expect the added layer of robot discrimination. I wonder if Asimov was inspired by what was going on with race relations in the States at the time because some of the stuff people were saying in the book about robots felt like was taken from real life with what whites were saying about black folks
