Wait this movie actually coming out in theaters...

I...got it...months ago...

A slow movie but I really enjoyed it...

One of the most :scust: death scenes in cinema in forever...

One of those situations where in a movie something foul happens and they allude to it but don't show it and you be like "why didn't they show insert character getting their head ripped off or guts blasted out or dipped in acid"

And then you see this particular scene and you like "nah they could have alluded to that didn't need to see it":scust:
i was all good with the scalping and even when they shoved the dude scalp in his mouth but as they chopping this dude from nuts to neck im literally looking at my tv like
"wtf am i witnessing right now?!!"

It was pretty solid. Slow pace but it wasn't really wasting time, if that makes sense:patrice:

About to check this out right now. It's on Amazon. One of the guys on D.C. sports radio (Chad Dukes) was raving about it yesterday, saying it was a cross between Tombstone and From Dusk Til Dawn.

Just got round to checking this out.

As has been mentioned THAT death scene was beyond description

It's like I felt like I was in the characters mind witnessing that shyt and then knowing you'd be up next. :bryan: That shyt is beyond horror.

But the shyt with the blind pregnant women was almost as disturbing  So demonic.

I really liked it though. Just a really raw, borderline exploitation grindhouse western. The gawd Kurt Russell was born to star in westerns. Some pretty funny moments too in between all the brutality. Richard Jenkins' old windbag character had me rolling throughout.

movie was complete garbage. i mean literally, it was almost COMPLETE trash, with no redeeming qualities. the only good one was the old man that played the deputy. i guess i could say that the guy from lost was good also, but other than that, very forgettable and bland film with a stupid storyline. this film seemed to just revel in violence for its own sake, which i generally don't like. personally i thought this one sucked but that's just me. i like kurt russell and patrick wilson usually, but not here.

Finally got around to seeing this and it was cool. Thought the direction was a bit flat with a lot of utterly pointless wide shots and shoddy editing that broke the immersion repeatedly, but the screenplay is very, very good and keeps the movie afloat and moving until it pieces things together for its final act. Also had no fukking clue that Hicory was played by Richard Jenkins until his name showed up in the end credits. Had me like 'WHAAAAT?!' :dwillhuh: My man did some Grade A disappearing into character for that role, let me tell you that. Also, it's always good to see Sid Haig show up, if even for a couple minutes. Such an underrated character actor.

That went even beyond what I was anticipating. :merchant:

I thought the movie was great except for...

the very last parts of it. Had to suspend belief a bit too much to believe the husband was gonna pull that off. Just too convenient.

Everything else was fantastic, in my opinion. Like @Dwolf said, it was slow moving, but the pacing felt perfect. It never dragged. The build-up of dread was spot on.
