ESPN Told Bomani Jones To Cover Up His ‘Caucasians’ Shirt On 'Mike & Mike' Show

According to TMZ, Jones was “asked to cover up” the T-shirt during Thursday’s show, and eventually, in the middle of the broadcast, Jones “slightly compromised and partially zipped up the front of his hoodie … hiding part of the image.”

Upon request for comment, ESPN sent The Huffington Post the following statement: “As the show progressed, we felt Bomani made his point and had openly discussed why he was wearing the shirt, and we wanted to keep the focus to the topics of the day.”
Yet they promote the Indians and Redskins openly :scust: Bomani risked his career for the cause. Not many would be willing to do the same. I'd like to think I would but if I was in that Miami high rise that he's in :jbhmm:

Yall do know espn got on the horn called Stephen A up early so he can rush to the set when they saw bomani had the shirt on.

Same way they made sure stephan A was there when it was skip vs Jalen rose etc.

He is really "their nikka"
Yup. Dude hadn't even shaved yet! Hilarious!

yep he real as hell for that...wouldn't say he risked his career but definitely his job at ESPN. Hell he might not get his contract renewed whenever it's up tbh. The NFL got Bill Simmons outta there but they might tread lightly since this is about race and not deflated footballs

"Corny" is subjective anyway. Besides this whole situation is hilarious. I wish people would just enjoy it for what it is.
social commentary conveyed through comedic means is what comics do, Obivously bomani isn't a comedian but the satirical humor and social commentary shouldn't be lost, to call it corny is fukking stupid. He's making a social point by wearing the shirt, not trying to be some corny jokester.

Like I said before the Apple don't fall too far from the tree.

This a dude who's parents are professors who even at one time moved him to Africa to teach at a college. His parents are professors at an HBCU and his brother is names after Lumumba.

Not surprised one bit by this. Especially if you listened to him on the morning Jones.

I'm just happy that SAS(:sas2:) is the LEAST talked about and LEAST memorable part of this day on that network...maybe he finally will see that no one writes about or remembers Luke warm "tote the line" traitors...no longer will that network look to him for his thought on "the community":comeon:
