The second half of this album gets even better. First one they did together took me a while to really appreciate

I agree his sampling is fairly basic but with Boldy I think it definitely works.
It helps to think of Craven as a sound provider or a dude that just presents and aesthetic for the artist. If you try and think of him as a beatmaker it's easier to feel unimpressed.

Man you know what, this one is better then I expected. Early favorite is Speedy Recovery. Got a old school handle on the rock, I think I'm Uncle Drew

My producer friend texted me that last night. He told me he's jealous of Craven because on the low it feels like everything he's done is attainableCraven makes it seem that anyone can be a producer
I've hated on Craven a lot on this board, and as a beatmaker I don't think he's that dope. I like his stuff with Boldy and Ransom though. He's got a couple joints with Mach and Evidence that I like too. He's like a "sound curator" for them almost. But if Craven was in a beat battle or something I'd have no interest.
