maybe I just need to stop comparing it to my first chemistry set but the beats on this one aren't hitting the same. They aren't wack just not as good as last album

However Boldy lyrically sounds better on this one.

I will give it some more listens tho overall it's alright. Maybe it needs time to grow on me

I respect that. IMO very little production wise holds up to M1CS. It's arguably a top 3 project all time in terms of his production, I think. After Covert Coup it's definitely my favorite batch of beats of his from the 2010's.

I wasn't anticipating this that much but this is really fantastic.
Boldy awkward, he box lefty and Alc matched him with these beats..most interesting set of Alc beats for a project with a rapper in a minute.

Boldy used to sound dull and going through the motions
on here he sounds more confident/focused and menacing on certain songs. he talking that talk too.

I would love to hear Alc do an EP with G Count. he would've sounded so good on one of these songs.

Finally got the chance to sit down and listen to this. Album is fire, really lived up to the expectations set by the first one.

Boldy has stepped his raps up as well it seems. Reminds me less of Prodigy on this album, in a good way.

Decided to give this a try last night and this was a great surprise, his voice is monotone enough to be cool on a beat but not so much its a chore to listen plus he got some pretty good flows on this. Alchemist must literally make music every fukking day wit the amount of work he's done especially over the past 3-4 years

Yeah man they work a lot. Supposedly Al and Boldy recorded almost 40 joints for what got whittled down to Boldface and Tea in China.

I’ve heard Al pretty much doesn’t eat and just intakes coffee so he can just make beats as much as possible. Don’t care about anything else. It’s a trip. I hear a lot of beats end up unfinished though. I know ‘94 Ghost is an unfinished beat.

This album is interesting after a few days. It’s real consistent but very few tracks stand way above the rest IMO

@savoutch Run-ins reminds me of a cross between You Know and Never Trust a Soul. And do you know if Hall and Nash 2 is still dropping next month?

He said that’s all he does is make beats...said he hates to sleep:russ::wow:

I strive to have a work ethic like Al

I hope he's taking care of himself that sounds dangerous as hell

No doubt.

I wouldn't say he looks unwell but he definitely looks a little bit unhealthy. But to be honest a lot of the never leave the lab type producers do tend to have that look about them like they don't get outside much, exercise, or eat enough. A lot of the super hardcore beat nerds look like basement dwellers.

Hip-hop producers are mostly eccentric weirdos.
