ALC on his weird shyt again:banderas:
This album way more than M1CS must’ve had Al convince Boldy to try weirder stuff. M1CS is one of my favorite collab albums because it’s no straightforward. No drumless joints. The only kinda weird joint on there was You Know.

This one has a good blend. Mostly straight up joints but a few curve balls too. I was even surprised at the 808 joint. And Boldy throws some curve balls too with the flows.

My only issue on one listen is that Speed Demon Freestyle seems kinda out of place in the final little sequence on here or put on Boldface EP instead.

Not really sure how to tangibly explain it but this is definitely different than any Alc project so far. The drums sound different. Some of the samples sound different. There’s a lot of empty space and spooky sounds.

I wasn’t expecting much either because I didn’t like Boldface at all and all the songs from this and that are from the same sessions.

And @savoutch may be able to correct but this I think is the first Alc project in his 4th decade dropping music.

Boldy definitely better as an emcee than on M1CS

You'll get no argument from me there :hubie:
Alot of my favorite hip-hop over the past decade came from that city. :whew:
shyt. Multiple decades. Detroit has been fire for artistry and creativity since at least the Motown era.

I love Detroit’s music in multiple genres over lots of years.
