Maybe it’s never gona happen I always looked forward to that I wonder what the holdup. Most times boldy just releases tapes with no name producers on a monthly basis, a lot of which I don’t replay besides a couple songs. I’d rather get an album than those tbh.
Honestly a new alc produced boldy album is high level art anyway. All those alc/boldy albums in the last 5 years are top albums in the years they were released. So even if their isn’t an official griselda album I’ll take a boldy/alc album as the official gxfr albums. That’s probably what It is anyway. Honestly a alc/boldy album is more than likely better anyway. But I’d rather have both lol
That Rome streetz/daringer album was good but it wasn’t that great to me as a month went by. I still like it but it’s not that amazing production wise. Also that album was probably a gxfr solo Rome streetz album for 2024. I wonder if the boldy/alc albums are kindve the same thing.
The fact that we getting a boldy/alc album is really good news. Price of tea in china, bo jack, and super tecmo bo are all classic albums in my book. Super tecmo is a straight Christmas time album for me. It sounds like a December snow album. In 2022 wen it had just came out It was snowing alot i was driving listening to to super tecmo bo rushing to the mall to buy a ps5 since they had 2 in stock. Lol that album holds a special place for me like the other two (potc & Bo Jack).
I don’t think there’s gonna be a GxFR Boldy album, at least not with the production from the guys you mentioned. 23 and 24 were definitely weak years of the big 3. I think Hall & Nash 2 made it stand out even more, because some people were like "yeah this is like their vintage shyt" and didn't realize it was from the 2010's. Hearing the difference in the hunger and delivery on that amongst the bad projects made the bad ones sound even worse.
They need to do more of their top tier in house producers and less from producers like Harry Fraud, who's extremely hit or miss (more miss imo) and no hit boy (who's almost always miss). Those two in particularly make over produced, over polished beats that just end up sounded like generic beats from an NBA 2k loading screen.
Harry fraud is miss most times that’s how I’ve always looked at it. Hitboy same shyt besides burden of proof, even that can’t compare to the official gxfr albums from 16-22
That’s definately a letdown because I think that would be crazy. Oh well alc and boldy coming out anyway so it’s all good. Daringer from 16-22 was prime time I don’t think he’s gona make anything as great as those times anymore. All those Daringer and machine tapes were all classics with classic beats. And kiss the ring was def an official gxfr album.
I really don't like either of them on the boards. Too generic. I'd take Fraud over hitboy, personally. But I'd much rather hear them over alc, daringer, conductor williams, danny lafleur, sandu, etc.
Daringers shyt hasn’t been hitting consistently for the last 2 years but I know what u mean. The reason y Gunns shyts dope is because of the reason you’ve mentioned
