OK, from a historical standpoint... you can either say Islam played a role - or you can realize the thousand years that the people have fused Islam with their traditional beliefs and have not had any of this Crazy shyt........ Until, CAC and others supported groups found a crazy extremest to support.
Putting this on Islam is like saying that African's created AIDs by fukking Monkeys while ignoring factors like eating primate meat and government bio programs (or whatever the real cause is).
If I walked up to this dude I would shoot him. His training isn't better than mine, so I'd win on a 1 on 1... and I would murk him because he's a non-Muslim killing African Muslims. That's is the truth along with his outside of African support structure.
The Nigerian Government can't handle shyt because of politics and not having loyalty from the only Nigerians who can do it. I don't know the entire situation, but basically all the adults allowed these girls to be taken.

- That's a good question. I do think there are little ways the average person can help, even if it isn't the big way of going down there, cutting down the forest, and castrating nikkas in order to get these girls back to their real homes.

- For better or worse, it's the obligation of a superpower to do superpower things. A country that is isolationist and does not step in is not a superpower. This is a dikkwaving contest at this point. If the US doesn't step in, then the US is ceding any right to have any influence or say in the world stage... which is something pro-isolationists are used to living with but not working for. You can't have it both ways, and isolationists seem to want exactly that.
The obligation of doing something goes double when it's one's very actions which led to a current tragedy. If the US created them, then the US needs to straighten them out or take them out.
- You're right that Islam played a role. Islam is the excuse, though. Again, these guys are not about Islam, they are twisting religion to create a world they prefer. Because Islam isn't enough, they have to butcher it into something else.
But you see, my friend thats where the whole read it in arabic and understand it in arabic comes in play. So the meaning will never be altered. There is no record of the Quran being altered, when there is records of European kingdoms debating over which version of the bible to use since there were so many. Its a part of Islam that the Quran will never change.

I don't believe he's a true Muslim either, and yes his support is non-African. As for the adults allowing the girls to be taken, I can't find the link now ...(and I apologize for not being able to find it in this thread going back a couple page. I apologize. To whomever put it up, can you repost?) ... but from what I read, that school wasn't even supposed to be open that week, the government wanted it shut down due to the violence; but somebody came up with the brilliant idea of making an exception for it so that students could take a physics exam. So they got all these students from different districts together... and this happened.
The government was supposed to provide protection, but the militia (they only had like FIFTEEN soldiers there to guard the school) were easily outnumbered by the false Islamists. Yeah, you may be right, this may have been a set up all along. You may be right. This may have been an inside job where the adults who were supposed to protect these children sold them into bondage instead.
Every single one of them involved in this deserves a headshot and castration.
