What's an app I can use to get started? Any recommendations on stocks buying and selling books?

Robinhood if you're a beginner and starting out small. Don't recommend it for day traders. You also can't short stocks or do options on it yet either.

For more advanced brokers you could try E-Trade or Scottrade.

As for books, there were some recommend in this thread but I forgot. Honestly though all the info you need is on the Internet. Investopedia is a great site for understanding the basics. Also check out Reddits investing forum.

Funny how quickly he got out of gold when the world showed they didn't fear Brexit as much as he had hoped.

IIRC, you also thought the doom and gloom scenario everyone was putting out there was bullshyt.

He lost on the pound trade - I read that he was actually long before the vote because he didn't think they'd leave.

He made a killing shorting Deutsche Bank, which had its own issues outside of Brexit, though Brexit helped fuel more gains.

Been getting killed on my Sears short the past couple of months. Always a point that you want to cut and run but I gotta stay the course and ride it out into 2017 when my options expire. That was the plan anyway so my emotions gotta stay in check.

I may buy more puts but I am a little hesitant right now. Perhaps next week.

Not if you do your homework and are good at forecasting trends you do need to be able to ride out the swings though which by no means is easy.

I think the one time I lost on options was when you said to short Walgreens

Spent a few hours researching WYY and this company is dead in the water. They secured a lot of governmental contracts but there are a large number of holes in the story. I expect the stock to drop to around 35 cents. This is a short term short....get it how ya live.

Just got approved on this earlier. Moved my points into the new account. Should have around $3000 in free travel once I get the bonus. I dont know how the fukk they make money off of this, but AmEx is never going to be able to compete long-term with their cost of funding.
