Those are strong numbers, especially since the network has yet to be rolled out to some parts of the world. Specifically, it is not yet available in Japan, a traditionally big market for wrestling. WWE plans to bring the network to India, China, Germany, Japan, and Thailand, but it did not announce a timetable for those rollouts.

While the company has a long way to go before the network delivers the subscriber numbers McMahon and others predicted when it was launched, it has seemingly cleared a major hurdle. The network has broken through the level it needs for viability, and that validates the company's decision to move away from PPVs
