stocks that are more cyclical make it less wild. proper strike choices make it more likely the contract will expire worthless, and more theta gives you time to buy back contracts if things are not going how you expected. also, holding the premium until the contract is gone is always the best policy
earnings report dates, dividend pay days, important voting deadlines and opex settlements are the kinds of things you try to be aware of if you dont want to get exercised.
if you absolutely hate risk, then you can just sell extremely high strikes that are almost never going to be hit. the money is small, but it might be comparable to a savings account or a dividend.
also, you can sell with the intent of buying back, i sometimes will sell far dated calls hoping to see about 20% to 30% profit and then buy back the calls before anything else can happen. might miss money but there arent many things that can get you returns like that.

Low price also means low premium. Hard to justify the risk on the short term plays. Thats my son's challenge with $UA.

For anyone who crossed 100k in their portfolio some time back, how long did it take to hit $200k/$300k/$400k ?
Right now, it's looking like I'll cross $200k in a year and half or so from now.
I'm trying to hit a million within the next twelve years and in the mean time I've been promoting and increasing my savings rate. Just trying to see where the wealthy brehs are in their journey that are near my age.
(Late 20s/Early 30s), of course I'm down to hear from anyone much older than me as well.
