Investing in bios really is an exercise in patience. All my profit gone in 3 days :beli:. This is gonna be a long month and change until the commercials start rolling out. Had to transfer 3000 more dollars into my trading account just to prevent a margin call.

out of the 286,000 option trades on the VIX ---- 255,000 were puts

If you're talking today, it looks like much of that volume came from one order on contracts expiring this month that were only around $0.13 a piece and not too far out the money ($12.50 puts when underlying at $14.29).

Looks like there's a lot more money being spent on deeper out of the money calls. Tens of thousands of January $19 calls at around $1.15 a contract.

How much would Continental's hedges be worth now if Hamm didn't sell? No matter how you spin it, that was a strange move at the time, especially with the uncertainty of the OPEC meeting coming up.
