any of you bros invest in TDG? my buddy says its a good investment for the future.

don't know much about it. just a quick look: the analysts covering it seem to like it. makes good money and has increased income quite well compared to last year. high profit margins. only thing I don't like is the P/E of 60 but thats not everything.

Saudi, Venezuela, Russia and Mexico had a meeting. No production cuts agreed upon. The drop seems ridiculous as I dont think anything was expected to materialize here anyway.

Nice! Looking forwards to being able to go to Venezuela someday.

Mr. Kang, I am in the Accounting field and since it kinda goes hand in hand with Finance I have a lot of buddies that follow the market. Also, I used to work for a major investment bank as an Intern so I just keep my nose in SeekingAlpha from time to time.

:damn:

There's more upside here than downside, though. The markets as bearish on crude as it was bullish several months back. They don't know what they're doing either.

:lupe:

About 34,000 calls and 181,000 puts

:scust:

Someone bought 45,000 $86 December 5 puts and sold an equal number of $84 puts with the same expiration. So 25% of that volume is someone probably expecting a small move down in the next two weeks after OPEC says no supply cut.

I didn't see any ridiculously bearish bets from big money. Like I think you said before, everything is priced in already and you'd think even if OPEC says no cuts, which is expected, after the short-term panic, prices will stabilize until we see further supply/demand numbers.

You're right though... market doesn't know shyt. I've been seeing bearish near-term SPY bets far outweighing calls and the market keeps inexplicably going forward.

@Domingo Halliburton

What are your thoughts on SDRL now?

Is the selling an overreaction to oil prices and eliminating the dividend or justified/stay away?

I wouldn't touch it at least until oil prices settle and letting their share price settle too. But its not like off shore drilling is going anywhere. Let me look at it some more. How leveraged are they?

Apparently the dividend suspension will save them 2 bil a year but the dividend was one of the more attractive things about the company. Let me get back to you. I'm going out to the bar.

Edit: I looked at the first page of this thread I mentioned that I used to own this stock
