whats you process for choosing expiration and strike price?
Im still slightly above a rookie at stock options but:

1. first thing i need to decide is if I REALLY think this stock will rise or fall (usually i only buy calls)

2. i look at volume and open interest
one time i bought an option that had neither, im sure you can guess what happened:dead:

3. i look at the spread on the bid and ask, if its too much I pass

4. salute to @Doomsday i look for them penniesssssss
i see IVR with options below .40 and im legit salivating

for reference i showed brehs amcs options in the discord about 15 mins before zach bought in and watched them go from .60 to .90+ in less than 2-3 hours

Back in August I bought some NLY calls:
NLY Jan 21 '22 $10 Call

They're down 52% since I bought them, but I have s much time I'm not that worried.

Glad to see you’re picking it up my guy.

Another option you might like is EAF April 10c or 12.5c. The 12.5c is at .65 so fits your budget. I have 4 of the 12.5 and 2 of the 10 so my conviction is strong. I was confident in PLTR and that paid off this week.

Just my two cents.

for those who are in IPOE. Do you hold this stock until the merger and then sell it after it has merged? This is the strategy I keep seeing online when it comes to SPACs. Or is IPOE/SOFI a long term hold. Can y'all provide clarification?

Honestly it depends on a few variables. If this stock takes off and suddenly 5X I’m selling half. It’s why I purchased so many shares. But I intend to hold long term or until another fintech play besides arkf comes along. Those are my only finance plays.

I'm leaning toward “long term”...my plan is definitely to hold it post merger tho
