Hello fellow investors.

I'm completely new to the stock market , any books or youtube channels to learn the basics/lingo ? things such as "Put" and others.
I read on reddit that the App ThinkOrSwim is legit when it comes to buying/selling stocks , any truth to that?

also , I'll most likely start off with $100-300 stock purchases ...just to get the hang of it.
Money I'm willing to lose.
Not gonna lie if I was in your position I’d stick to mostly ETFs / Index Funds. The only companies I’d buy individual stocks of are strong brands like Amazon, Google, and the other Mag 7 stocks.

These days I’m mostly buying VTI, DGRO, and SCHD. The individual companies are Nike, Nvidia, Google, and Amazon.

I ended up buying stinkers like Tattooed Chef trying to chase a home run and lost thousands on them.
