Even cathie is expecting a correction or two some time in 2021:

Two interviews in a row where she mentions it. And a lot of defensive buying in her ETF’s lately, buying companies that are more dip proof than others.

This is due to options. You'd have buy stocks in only bankrupted companies to go near 0 lol...

Yeah I wasn't finding any conceivable way you can go to straight up 0 with trading normally. At some point you'd pull out no?

1) everyone is all over the place on 2021, saw a lot of analysis saying this year would be strong, not 2020, but S&P +20%, then of course there are the bears

2) ain’t NIO just planning to sell in China? Not seeing how that pushes Tesla. I also don’t want a fukking made in China car :heh:

3) I do have faith in them NIU scooters since they sell internationally, got in them before I got into NIO and am up 88%

nah, you can lose your money having never done option trading or investing in a bankrupted company. People panic sell at a loss all the time until their remaining capital is a small fraction of what they started with.:francis:

No Whammies!!
I don't know if it's outdated but i've seen some posts on WSB that are tragic.

We've seen a lot of "loss porn" about options, so let me counteract that with a little "gain porn".

In the past month I've turned about $10,000 in TSLA options into $45,700.
Not bad for a stock that I've been calling overpriced the whole time :ehh:.

I started with one $650 call that I bought for about $5000, and I rolled that plus another $5000 into five $850 calls:

I'll probably cash out when we get around $920 and buy back one single cheap call. Hope I have the discipline to leave this casino.

Even if it only sells in China, it is or will be the largest car market in the world. neo has batteries as a service, monthly revenues from that.

the most i've ever spent on a single call contract is $130. If i was braver I could have been earning a lot more money on my ICLN option right now. I like finding cheap $5-$40 calls though.

Its all a gamble, but the further out-of-the-money you go, the "worse" the gamble becomes. You really increase your chance of "winning" if you roll up to options that are close to being in-the-money already.
The problem is, they get expensive.

Gonna sell some SKLZ, PLTR, ARKG to buy more

MARA, CAN and get some cash on the sidelines for whenever the other BTC mining supply company IPO's. In a joking way, I think money will be flowing next week.

The only "Greek" that I pay attention to myself is "delta". That's what tells you how much the value of your options contract goes up if the stock goes up a dollar. So a delta of .61 means that if TSLA goes up $1, the value of a call option goes up $61.

nah Nio is expanding to Europe.

@ahomeplateslugger Chicken always makes good points but let's be honest here, the Nvidia chips are world class.. that's not trash technology.

I wouldn't ever tell anyone to go all in on NIO but the pieces are there where it makes sense for me to have some in my portfolio.

You can have a correction with the market making new highs the same year. Look at 2019 and 2020. I think the S&P will get to around 4300 end of year but I can see a correction coming. The market is moving up on weak Volume imo.

NIO +NVIDIA= me buying more NIO, with caution

:mjlol: With all due respect homie, yeah right!

:mjlol: We can go back in this thread for proof, none of you were hyping TSLA when it dropped to 80.00 a share. Wasn't no "5 years from now" talk back then.

:mjlol: Everyone can act like a genius in hindsight. In reality you all jumped on a mooning stock which is no different than what day traders do with pennies. Just because TSLA is labeled a "blue chip" you want to act like you're some kind of elite investor.

:whoa:
No shade being thrown on my end.
I don't think I'm elite, I did okay last year but I didn't put up 200% or more like some of the more knowledgeable brehs in here.

I'm just heeding the very real advice that we should be careful of just dropping cash into any ol' stock and that we shouldn't get caught up in the hype.

That's all.
