i was up on $500 worth of WTRH call options 2-3 weeks ago and they all expired worthless.

was up on PIC call option like $495 profit, sold a week later for $190.

I had $52 put option on UBER for $166 and it expired worthless the week uber was just putting out bad news, the following monday they fell below $52 and stayed there til that friday.:francis:

only reason i'm still doing options is overall i'm made more money than i've loss. :yeshrug:
My biggest L was ENG, but i kind of deserved it. I was chasing instead of using the blueprint laid out by the good brother @Serious.
Penny stocks
Chinese stocks
OTC.....

It's really more so the process of not actually looking into a company.

I lost a lot of money when I was following the herd or looking for stocks to go up due to FOMO.

Once I realized, the best way to approach the stock market is to be calm, cool and collected while not sweating over missing out on every single stock that goes off, I relaxed and started making consistent gains, with no losses.

I try help others not take L's by showing them a better way, but some people gotta take a few L's before they decide to switch up. Some people never will though. :yeshrug:

I lost probably about 5g's, but i'll put it like this. While I was making money overall when I lost money, I came to realization, that in the long run losing money doesn't and shouldn't be apart of the game.

The best way to avoid that imo, is by being selective, patient and taking the time to properly vet investments.

Preciate the insight fam. Yea I've been peeping your strats (going back dozens of pages from when I first got on) and they seem really solid. I'm def taken a mostly slow grind approach as I'm naturally frugal and come from poverty anyway. I'm in finance now and this whole past year has just been enlightening as far as financial literacy and this capping it off is awesome. I was up this morning and first thing I did was research the stocks ya'll was vetting in here :mjlol: This shyt is addicting seeing the gradual gains even if its a couple percent :jbhmm:

TBH it sounds like most people in this thread is squared away and you not really going to lose your net worth unless you put it all on some penny stock. Thats good to know.

Is Palatin a stock that hasn't been discussed? I tried searching by name and ticker and didn't see anything. Was looking at getting maybe 500 of them but wanted to do some research first.

I'm seriously about to print this out and hang it on my wall.

I really like those rumors: SoFi, Hyperloop, SpaceX and Stripe are all day 1 cops and DCA territory.

Hyperloop lowkey been making gains. The technology is here. No longer spec.

I know this thread is mostly about eating but if yall can can some chime in with their worst Ls? I just want to be cognizant of what can happen good n bad.
My worst L's have been self inflicted. Bag chasing investments (SHLL/HYLN), are ones to try to avoid.

But the biggest L's come from letting doubt overtake you. For example one of my first trades I made was to buy XSPA at like .43 back in April, probably sold it when it went to .70. It got as high as $7 in July, and even now is in the mid $1.30's, that'd be anywhere from a 3-7x. PLAY I bought and sold a lot earlier in the year, thought going from 12 to 19 was a win, now it's at $29. I first bought into SQ when it was in the 80's, sold when it was 150 etc. etc. etc.

The biggest L's come from lack of patience/feel, you'll naturally develop it. Also, learn how to use some charts.

You misspelled the company's name. That might have been why you missed it. It is Palantir (PLTR)

I would do separate searches using: 1) the company name; 2) the stock symbol; and, 3) the major investor/CEO. In this case, it would be Peter Thiel (just use his last name).

As some point, all three have been used to bring up great points.

XL fleet doing some crazy numbers today!. For my Real Estate folks, look into Jacksonville, FL. The cash flow in Jacksonville is very rewarding if you know what you are doing. I bought a duplex for 85k and the combined rent is 1500.

What sites do you use to find places like that?

Brought Li Auto, Xpev, Nio, QuantumScape..next the day the bill came out and stock started to fall but I lost like 500 dollars BUT held on to Quantum, it popped off and I made a nice profit. Sold it in the 70s, its now at 110 LOL so I am not too happy about that.

I mean I have other big L's where I actually made money but could have made a lot more like with ERI I called it out at $8 I think and I sold over 100% gain almost 200% I think but it should have been way more than that. PLAY I also sold at like a 150% gain which is actually peanuts considering I had it at like $5

These are just this year's Ls I don't wanna think too far back lol

I gotta learn more about the Jacksonville market. There, Cincy, Dallas and Nashville are a few cities I heard are good for real estate investors.

i haven’t heard about Cincinnati outside of our downtown area but of course that’s due to gentrification. They are pushing the city folks out to the suburbs and bringing the suburbs back into the city. The best investments would be anything around downtown or close to it to include northern Kentucky. That’s what I have been studying up on and using the VA business loan to get into.

but my idea is to get this neighborhood called Huntington meadows and get it back going.

I just had this thought about the impact of Robinhood.

One of the most important aspects of the Robinhood commission-free model might be that it has de-incentivized the trading platforms from relentlessly pushing daytrading.

Now, hopefully more people get comfortable with buying great companies and holding.
