It actually depends on your company.
Before my old employer got bought out our Fidelity 401k just had a selection of mutual funds.
But after we got bought out the new company has a Fidelity 401k that has a feature turned on called "Brokeragelink" that lets us buy almost any stock (except for stock in our own company) in the 401k. So, I I can have TSLA, etc. in my 401k through Fldelity Brokeragelink.

That’s dope. I’m now seeing Vanguard 401k has a brokerage option but it’s still just mutual funds, but way more fund options. I’m going to see if our accounts are eligible for this. Getting these ARK or TSLA gains in my 401k would be

I will be putting ~20k into the market in January. I'm thinking of putting most of it in ARKF because it has the lowest entry into the ARK series. thoughts?

for the rest of it, I'm scouring the fund holding documents for each series (F,K,G,Q,W) to find equities under $50. from there I'll do some DD to see if they're worth jumping into for long term growth.

If i had 20k I'm buying wtf I want.

I personally buy cheap shyt because I don't make much and I'm still building up my account.

But if you a have a lump sum of 20k think a bit harder than going balls deep in arkf.
