Strange - no one is dropping 4K on a bike and then not paying the monthly sub.
simply the expectation of fewer people buying bikes/treads, people opting for the entry-level models if they do buy, and fewer subs (you can subscribe to the app without buying their bike or tread) if a vaccine makes it possible for people to be back at the gym

Nah wait for a cut back if you're going do it or don't do it all.

You want be in stocks early before the news.

It will fall back even with the news today of the vaccine?

Pfizer isn't a company that's gonna see a massive move like they are sitting at $40 or so the upside isn't gonna be like $100/share or something, they've been around forever...

If you would have got in on Biontech they are actually up 15% today but there are way better plays out there with bigger upside. Like we've been discussing PACB in here. I've already doubled my investment on that.

Are both of those companies also related to vaccine development?

Do you think that's going to be a hot field of play?

It's news breh, people will FOMO and buy.....

While others will sell.

A rule of thumb is don't chase.....

Investing is all about keeping your ego in check. Just watch Pfizer, it probably won't move the way you expect it.

buy the rumor, sell the news. pfizer is a solid long term play to have in a portfolio, but you've likely missed the swing.

also, and i'm not saying this to sound snarky, i'm literally trying to keep you from holding the bag. you sound like you're not familiar with biotech and how to play the game there. there are way too many spec stocks you gotta jump in and out of on time. people have been doing vaccine swing/plays all year, a lot of them getting burnt in the process. i don't fukk with biotech for that reason, too much hinges on trials, funding, developments, IP/blockbusters, etc. you gotta stay on top of the news for them. your posts/questions don't make it seem like you're that type, now if you're willing to go all in on daily monitoring and research, then go forward. otherwise, pick blue chip stocks in that space as part of long term portfolio diversification

Nope. And I don't take that comment in a bad way.
I wish I could stay on it daily and be up to date, but I don't have time.

Great advice. Appreciate it, brehette.

If anyone is interested I have compiled a list of value stock plays. These are all medium to large cap companies that will likely survive and have a lot of upside. Most are 40-50% off their highs..

Okay so what's the plan. Well, I could continue investing in a few select companies like RTX which I probably will because I want to throw more money at them specifically. But another way you can try to maximize your profits in a more condensed safer play is to make a separate M1 account. You can make this your value stocks portfolio... do not expect big gains in a month. We are looking at 1-2 years down the road. These are all great companies/ETFs and most will likely come back. If one doesn't that's fine you can remove them from your pie if they are faltering.

I'd narrow this down some.. but here's an example I compiled and keep in mind that many of these also have nice dividend returns.

XLF
JETS
CCL
Delta
MGM
JPM
WFC
BA
RTX
BRK.B
WYNN
PLAY
DFS
CVX
WBA
SBUX
T
KO

Reminder of the post I made over the Summer. It's not too late for some of these names.
