i feel like we're teetering on something here with this stimulus

once its officially dead, that's gonna be a lot of volatility til the election

unless they come to a deal, then we shoot up before the election

We have some worst malls compared to other countries tho. People would've shopped more if so many of these malls weren't so damn depressing.
:francis:
i don't get this...malls fall into disrepair based on the (changing) demographics of their surroundings and closures of anchor tenants. i can't think of any of the shyt malls around me that were always shyt, they fell off over time, usually because a newer, bigger mall opened a 10-30 min drive away, anchor stores closed or because the amount of theft from stores made retailers leave. i know plenty of malls that are still nice, hell, even high end, yet every time i visited, there were fewer people. the only "malls" i know that are thriving out here are outdoor.

@CrimsonTider you can't say shopping online isn't ideal (altho i agree it isnt for some things) yet also look at how terribly clothing retailers of all types have done over the past decade and say that people still love shopping in store or love brands. low end and fast fashion has gone bankrupt (sears, penny's, forever 21), mid tier has gone out of business or had severe decline (gap, macy's, lord and taylor, express/limited, victoris secret), upper mid tier (j crew, banana republic, nordstrom), high end is dying (nieman, barney's, DVF). i'm not sure what people are wearing or where they're shopping when every segment is getting beat down

Is AMC a hold or fold? :francis:

Its half of the value of one of my accounts, the rest being a few penny stocks, but with theatres not really opening and barely any movies coming out, wonder how profitable they can be. I cancelled my a-list cuz I wasn't gonna use it any time soon. Wonder how many subscriptions they've lost since the whole pandemic started. Down 43% so far and only 50 shares which isn't even my biggest loser in that account but wondering if I should flip that $150 or so another way or just let it be for another 6 months or so.:jbhmm:

people go to mall to hang out, eat, and buying shyt is an optional.

there are Rack and TJmaxx/Marshalls and then you can get deals through online, so unless it's black friday or major seasonal sell off there is no point buying anything at the mall. and most folks love getting surprises through online. they buy and then if shyt dont work out simply return the item which is now very easy and convenient.

how much share do you have of that? whats a decent amount of shares to get of any penny stock?
not really the number of shares but more the amount you are investing. I bought just less than $400 worth of stocks

if it goes 30% or more I may set my triggers and get the basic incremental profits. I only pace 1K or more if it's a dividend or blue chip stock
