SQ is the Tesla of payment transaction thoughNot much. just on my m1 account set at 10%. my m1 account totals about 25k.
i'm very close to just go 70-90% on tesla. i just can't seem to buy anything else and hold it. but if i buy tesla, i know i'll hold no matter what.
buying LMND below $50 was a no brainer. my avg was over $70, but now $57. almost breaking even. took a while, but it was worth it.
this is a long hold that i won't bother buying or selling. i'm just gonna hold it for next 5-7 years

i ate like 3 times with SQ. last i sold was at around $125. i got in below $70. so i really can't complain.
and at the end of the day, i can't buy them all. i just don't have a room.
as far as my fidelity goes, i'm just gonna be a 1 trick pony
i do have LMND, PLHNF, AND LVGO, these are my other longs. as soon i get rid of my spacs, i'm just gonna double up on my TSLA.

I used to sell credit processing awhile ago for this company first data. They were pushing the square readers and a ipad like device for stores at least 6 years ago. Isn't this kinda the tail wagging the dog though? The average company was facing uncertainty last quarter and revised their #s lower or refused to cite an estimate. When they beat said estimate, everyone celebrates?

Technically, we can celebrate that they outperformed their estimates I suppose. I just think the worse is yet to come. Until the charts show it, I'll just keep buying like everyone else though.

It's not that they beat estimates, it's that they are destroying estimates. There's two stories going on. Stocks that were unaffected like an Amazon where you understand why it doesn't drop because they are killing it even during a pandemic, even more so...
Then you have the major stocks that were effected and many of them are showing a quicker recovery. An average of 26% beats is major considering it's usually 3-4%.
You can argue that they thought things would be way worse but if that's the case it is still a positive sign of recovery.
Of course a second wave of covid can fukk a lot of this up.

Still no news. When a merger is taking forever many retailers are just gonna move their money around while they wait. I'm just chillin I don't need the money that I have in LCA for another reason, I still got plenty of money on the sidelines.
