The economy isn't bad. Good by a lot of measures. Are we really going to be at 1.8% on the 2 year, barely above 2% on the 10 year and say, "interest rates aren't low enough?"

My strategy is to invest for dividends. I only hold a single stock that doesn't pay dividends right now (Uber). If the market crashes it doesn't really matter to me because as long as companies like McDonald's, Apple, Intel, and Coca-Cola keep paying their dividends I'm achieving my goals. I plan to hold all these companies for more than likely the rest of my life so the capital appreciation can go up and down and since I don't plan to sell that's not a factor.

Hell the market crashing means I can but in at cheaper prices and raise my yield on cost.

How do you get in to the Drip program? Is this something through your brokerage firm?I completely agree. I no longer focus on the sayings of others because their opinions caused me to lose money. I primarily focus on dividend aristocrats and strong companies paying dividends. I also participate in Drip programs to reinvest the dividends. Like you my focus is beyond my lifetime, so I just keep consistently buying and growing. I also plan on teaching my seeds this philosophy so they can continue their wealth building. This is about creating an empire and that does not happen overnight. It happens brick by brick.
