4. Multiple Accounts on Twitter Claim the KKK Was in Piedmont Park the Night Before

What has made many on social media most suspicious, particularly those local to Atlanta, are multiple accounts that claim the Ku Klux Klan was actually in and near the park that night. These accounts claim that they were handing out flyers in the area. The KKK is synonymous with racially motivated violence, and people started wondering if there was more to the story, and if it involved the Klan or not.

Not long after initial reports of the park being closed, people began sharing screenshots of Google, which currently says that the park is “permanently closed.” As of this writing, typingPiedmont Park into Google still leads to Google Maps saying the park is permanently closed.

you claimed that black men dont hang themselves from trees and I posted a story about a black men that did hang himself, black men are not an alien hive mind, they're people, there are many black men out here that are dealing with depression and other mental issues and they never get the help they need and they sometimes kill themselves.

As I said in an earlier post, it's possible that he was killed but we shouldn't completely rule out suicide

That's what it comes down to. The experiences of Black Americans in this country dictate that when we hear about a situation like this, we jump to lynching because it's been done to us so much before. How many of the Black people on his board have a story about a grandfather or grandmother or great-grandfather/great-grandmother or family friend who got lynched? How many of us today have stories of dealing with police and racists, many times who are one in the same. Our experiences in this country dictate that we do not and should not trust white people and their institutions when it comes to matters like this. Period.

Suicide rates among black men are low so of course black men as a whole aren't hanging themselves from trees

One similar story means a lot when you're claiming that it can't be suicide because "black people dont do that"(this is something people were saying when the other story came around)
