Baseball nerds who never played but somehow their opinion on the sport matters. Bob Costas, Peter Gammons and Tim Kurjikan types who just know every quirky stat, baseball history and brag about watching the Cape Cod league in their spare time. They are given a seat at the table to comment on shyt. Football and basketball don't have these types on sports coverage regularly like baseball does.

I'm tired of seeing this knock on sports journalism. It's lazy. By this logic nobody in the Booth or Film Room should be speaking on albums or movies. Nobody in TLR needs to speak on politics or police either.

They might say some shyt you don't like but "if you weren't a pro you can't say shyt" is silly.
