Gillian and the old father, yes one is flabby and sick and one is brain dead and this is who could take out Nucky? One of the smartest and most respected gangsters of all time? Lets see commodore goes to jail, Nucky doesn't , commodore loses respect of the city, Nucky a hero. Gillian does nothing. Jimmy lost his wife because he was stupid as hell, pay Manny and nothing happens. I get it jimmy was a person people could relate too like Avon and bodie lovable losers , people hated Marlo because he was smarter and luckier than they ever could be same with Nucky. commodore was eating lobsters with politicians, he had clout. i mean on his own jimmy wasnt shyt, but commodore had all these connections and even after his stroke he still had jimmy to carry out whatever needed to be done.

i mean that squad wasnt as menacing as gyp, but they were much more calculated.

Nucky was eating with the president of the united states right hand man, Nucky only problem is that he was very high handed with some of them because he is so smart and they hate that. Look at the speech Eli made in the 1st season and he got mad because he fell flat blamed Nucky because he was not prepared. Gyp did the same thing at that new years eve meeting and he used AR greed and his ability to take advantage people who are down to his own advantage with the distillery he gave him only for Nuck to turn around and put the government on AR.

I agree not only is he high handed, he comes across as pompous and cocky and it pushes people away. He acts like knows EVERYTHING
