Yea I know Broadwalk empire starts off slow. I'm not one of these ADD guys. I enjoy the dialogue just as much as the action. We will have to see if this even becomes a thing with Purnsely. Might get swept up under the bridge. We got alot of things going on. I gotta look it up but the NY underworld is going to go through a major war soon.

#Fact idk about the attention span of some of these guys. Anything mob related takes time to build up, but for the time period alone it takes some time and years before Joe Massaria even dies thats 1930 somethin. Lucky & The gang got some time to go. 1st ep was great.

Agreed. I don't wanna "spoil" it (even though a quick google search can pretty much spoil it for ya) but we got some cool events coming up

you're dead on with it. I like the first episode. this is a show that even after weekly watching you still need to watch them bacc to bacc to catch lil things in "slow" episodes.

Just watched.. :mindblown: wtf was up with the "15 minutes of jelly" scene?? That was some JBO material

-cinematography is incredible but I really wasn't impressed with this episode. Why was Harrow killing those guys for? I'm sick of that drug addict whore and her storyline. The future episode looks promising but its hard to find somebody to root for since Jimmy was merked

Harrow and Chalky are the only characters that are even remotely likable at this point and both are the type of characters that could get offed at anytime... I don't even want to get too invested in liking them because of that.

This is probably a stupid question, but can anyone tell me why Harrow killed all those people? Was it for Nucky, or as a means to track down his sister, or what?
Other than that, brilliant episode, as always. This has to be the most underrated show on television.
It's something related to insurance claims.

The first 2 guys he got, he pulled the envelope out of the guy's jacket and it had an insurance emblem on it. The other guy in the office seemed to be just some underwriting type dude. Why he's killing them? I have no idea, but I'm sure we'll find out.

But the way the episode played out, it made it seem like Harrow was done and doing his dirt before getting back home.

Lansky holds it down. Same with AR, Capone, Masseria, even Dunn got some points this episode although hes a hatin ass nikka. Not so much a fan of Chalky, he doesn't have much screen presence but true him and Harrow are the most likeable.

I don't think people have ADD with this show.. there's still this little thing called 'pacing' in the world of television and film. In a film a story has to be told and finished in under two hours. These tv shows have entire seasons to tell a story but you still shouldn't abuse it. The distribution of scene time to certain characters who don't deserve it are legendary in Boardwalk. Did we even give two shyts about Margeret at all last season, no but she damn near took up one-third of the show last season. Its like BE is a really good show but they have so much 'filler' in each episode

My theory (which is probably wrong) is that Harrow killed the people who gave his sister insurance money after he was presumed dead. I'm guessing he did this since he decided to show back up in her life. But the reason why i'm probably wrong is because the last man killed said something about being the middleman like they had did Harrow or his peeps wrong. And that bytch is gonna come back to haunt Chalky with probably using her knowledge of her husband's murder to help Narcisse try to blackmail him.

When he reads the script, are his lines typed out the way he talks? or are they typed out normal and he just adds the Southern-broken english:why:

Lets face facts, Harrow is basically getting his 'serial killer' on right now. What those guys do- get him and his sis a sub-prime loan on that house and now their payments doubled and they can't afford it??:rudy: Might be time for Harrow to go, he used to be my dude but I don't know now:patrice:
