The actor playing Lucky just aint on that level imo. I like the other actors more.

Anyone is better than Nucky though, hes the worst played character on the show. Chalky doesn't transition well into this era.

I was thinking the same thing whats the point in that when we have no idea whats going on? build up some suspense or something.

Also purnsley is gonna wind up dead this season. It seems like they setting him up to betray chalky in the future so unless chalky takes an L which would mean killing off another fan favorite...

Lucky Luciano should get more shine than Lansky in my opinion. Hell, he should get more shine than AR.

But Lansky was the brains of Luciano's operation and the only non-italian to reach boss status in the Mob he's just as iconic to anyone with any knowledge about the era.

This is probably a stupid question, but can anyone tell me why Harrow killed all those people? Was it for Nucky, or as a means to track down his sister, or what?
Other than that, brilliant episode, as always. This has to be the most underrated show on television.

Just seen it. A couple of pointers:

1) Purnsely isn't going a got damn place. They started off as "rivals" until Chalky let him know who ran things and had everyone in the cell whoop his ass. He could have had him killed, but what he does? Gives him a job and made him his second in command. Purnsely knew he fukked up smashing that broad. Chalky told him I've spend month working that CAC over to bring top acts to club and you threw it all away for some CAC snatch. He deserved every second of the treatment Chalky gave him. You killed this CAC, bury him yourself. Also what y'all forgetting is when Nucky tried to disrespect Purnsely, Chakly stood up for him and reminded Nucky that a few months ago, Purnsely was on the front lines in his war against Gyp. So Purnsely shouldn't feel a way about what's going on. If the writers do make it so, this show is trash.

Purnsly was giving Chalky the damn near every scene after he killed dude. Sure he deserved the treatment Chalky gave him but it don't mean Purnsly gonna take that shyt.

not gonna betray because of that but it will create enough of a rift between them that purnsley might consider a good enough offer from the other side. like darmondy did with nucky.
these is just building blocks. boardwalk always comes with the slow burn. both chalky, purnsley and narchisse are all fictional characters so anyone of them can go the darmondy route

Yup.

Purnsly only connected with Chalky when he realized that Chalky ran shyt. When they were in that cell and Chalky talked to each dude one by one about their family, how that job he got them was working out, how they moms liked the turkey he bought them for thanksgiving, Purnsly realized he was fukked.

All he need is for Chalky to piss him off and someone else to take a run at the throne and Purnsly will hop on that team. Jeffrey Wright looks like he'll be that guy.
