@ Chalky, He's given up his whole NJ life, including his wife and kids, then he finds out his old mentor/boss isn't the man he remembered. Then Daughter took off on him and the NJ nastiness follows him. He's basically got nothing right now. I don't think Daughter alerted Narcisse's men; I presume it was the checkers-playing guy. Weird vibe at that house.... I'm pretty sure Daughter left Chalky do to a combination of realizing how tough it will actually be to be on the run with him, and because she really does think he shouldn't abandon his wife and kids for her.
Wow, poor Gillian. I think Roy truly felt sorry for her and when he said she was a courageous woman I think he totally meant it. Interesting Jesus imagery when Gillian was getting arrested, how they forced onto the floor in a crucifix position. Don't know what that means, but I thought it was fine camerawork from the director.
So under the circumstances at least Tommy seems to have done fine. He knows Gillian is his Mee-Ma and both his parents are gone, so at least he's not confused like before.
@ Eli.......it baffles me as to why Eli would once again walk down the betrayal path. The first time ended with him going to jail. The next time will find him at best, exiled and at worst, dead. He can't be so stupid as to not realize this. I have to think Nucky's "I want out" at the end as something to do with him realizing Eli is trying something. I think he knows the "insurance agent" was Knox. Either way, I really, really doubt this is going to end with Knox on top. Something will happen. I don't understand why Eli doesn't just tell Nucky the truth since Nucky has already demonstrated that he's willing to do a lot in order to help Willie. Who's to say that they can't come up with an alternative plan if they all work together?
