Not even a echo chamber unlike twitter you make your own algorithm and can completely eliminate politics

Yeah it's pretty crazy how people got programmed to follow exactly what they're told on a screen as opposed to being able to pick what they want

You know what they always say

"If it's free, you're not the customer you're the product being sold"

BlueSky would be smart to do the following

-create a digital network arm like Yahoo! does with finance. It could really really do well with a news arm or digital video avenue. Like actual broadcasting, have their own kind of YouTube shyt

It'd be dope as hell to have BlueSky TV/news.

Inside baseball that probably only @bnew knows about, but can yall please follow this account:

I wanna follow yall but I have an acct outside of bluesky. Following this account makes your account accessible to the entire fediverse... from Mastodon users to Threads users (I think it's fully implemented) to everyone in between.

Got a fediverse account? Bridge it to Bluesky by following @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy

Or, follow a web site like example.com by searching for @example.com@web.brid.gy

.

it took like a minute to populate and show up after I added it.

@bnew FML that's dope. It's like a built-in RSS feed you can follow via your social media acct. These ppl need to do better w/ the naming because the current conventions are not gaining traction because they are so poorly named, or sound exactly like existing technology.

I used perplexity to create a script to update the profile because i don't think it updates automatically at least not at the interval a forum typically updates.
it seems bluesky doesn't support search metadata from website card info. so the kywords in from post titles won't show up in search results.

Python:
edit: deleted the script

not sure it works correctly cause the site saids it's updated but the posts don't appear immediately.

Yup the updates are a bit sporadic I noticed. I wonder if the level of activity on a forum is a bit too strenuous for the acct to keep up w/?

There is a great 5 min explainer here where he walks through the steps cleanly:

Makes me want to start a blog since the content can automatically be posted (and responded to) via bluesky commenters

I messed up :lupe:

script would click the button 960 times in a 24 hour period, basically once every 90 seconds. apparently that's too much.

MAGA and Trolls really aren't going to like platform. I guess they have 20 Moderators but Bluesky is 4X that to keep up with the influx.

they're using AI to moderate content too. it's the only way they can handle tens of thousand of reports every hour.

Elon acting like Drake at the moment, and I heard Zuckerberg as well is intimidated by Bluesky. I ain't saying Bluesky going to be Twitter 2.0, but it's clear they got chips at the table.
