Edit:^^^^^ Facts.. We were typing at the same time.

the pack didnt have any influence to push vans on black people. get real
You're using opinion, I'm using facts backed by proof. The Pack made a song about our local style and the song went national. nikkas thought Vans were a goofy white boy shoe before then. You denying this is like saying Converse/Chucks wasn't an LA thing and Timbs isn't a NY thing.

vans were and are an la thing. weve been rocking those shyts since they popped out here. thy made a song about vans? great, but wheres the proof that said song influenced the hood?

nikka stop lying, I'm offering you money and you still aren't coming with any facts. The non skater black people in LA didn't start wearing Vans until the Jerking movement when y'all were wearing them with those bright green skinny jeans. The Jerking movement was like like 6 years after The Pack made that song. Stop it. You ain't ever seen Snoop Dogg, The Game, etc in no damn Vans in the early 2000's :comeon:

you arent giving me anything to read. skater influence expanding had dudes rocking vans. unless you have something stating the the pack is the influence that had people wearing vans, i have no reason to believe that they had people all over wearing vans

you made the claim that they influenced vans nationally, drop the proof that they did. because its all hearsay from a bay cat at this point. and weve been wearing slip ons since the 70s

i lived in LA early 2000s, and Black folks were rocking Vans.. SBs, DCs..

majority of skateboard shops & boutiques, were eating off shoe & apparel sales.. and, it wasnt coming from skateboarders..

Why do you nikkas have to be so unnecessarily contrarian all the time...it's a weird complex to have :picard:

"Allan, who grew up in Minnesota, didn’t skate growing up, and he doesn’t now. But, like so many other well-dressed guys, he still wears Vans. He remembers first hearing The Pack’s 2009 song “Vans” in junior high and buying a pair of colored checkerboard Sk8-His. “All my friends started wearing them,” he says. “It was cool.” Now, he always has a pair in his closet. “I just feel like there’s so many purposes to it. You could stunt. You could look like you don’t care. I think it’s become more than a skate shoe.”

Please tell me what year this was specifically because I've spent a lot of time in LA as well. Vans were not a thing with urban black people :snoop:
