Makes sense, I know DC and Marvel are rivals. But unless you playing one of the core Justice League members, None of DC characters are as well known, which can potentially mean flop. You got Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, then its basically antman status for anybody else.
With Marvel you got as many A list characters in the X-men franchise alone, The Avengers used to mostly c list, but Hulk wasn't. He was always a well known property. The Fantastic Four are well known, Spiderman is basically the most popular character outside of batman. and you got other solo characters like Daredevil and Punisher who have always had a decent following. its much easier for the MCU than it is for DC. They gotta hope James Gunns successfully elevates more of the lesser known DC characters to the A tier,

honestly, thats on dc more than anything. theyll push batman and batman related or centric content over everything else, then theres trickle down for the rest of the trinity and good luck to everything else. they sat on wonder woman. one third of the trinity for decades after a really popular tv show. many of their series have a dark night spin or relation. shyt even arrow felt more like a batman show than it did a green arrow one. say what you want about the quality of their shows, but they were more willing to take risks on characters. dc is starting to figure that out, but its a slow trickle

I still can't believe they fumbled this movie which was an easy layup. The only thing I think people liked about the movie was his family was involved but many times they were annoying to me.
