Saw this movie yesterday and it exceeded my expectations :obama:

This was one those times that Warner Bros was right putting this in theater cause they knew the Latino community would turn out for it giving the right marketing. However 3 things happened. “Black Adam” failed, “The Flash” failed, and the WGA/SAG strike happened. Movie got kicked in the nuts..

But with word of mouth going on with the fans on how good the movie is, I feel James Gunn is going to keep this variation of “Blue Beetle.”

This movie was a lot darker than I anticipated. All the characters were very likable as well, especially his family. I also loved how contained the movie was and it kept it vague on what DC universe it was in. Like they mention Batman and Superman but they never made it clear which version it was. Which was a good call.

I really liked this :ehh:

This was a decent movie. The cultural dynamic of the movie was cool. Had your typical witty younger relative/friend and overly smart side character along with the standard origin story of overcoming adversity and finding yourself/purpose. The whole angle of the Nana being combat savvy was cheesy imo, but people at the theater were cracking up at it. Worth checking it out if you've already watched all the other main movies that've released, especially with Sunday being $4 tickets everywhere.

I can how it didn't perform well. I think a lot of this is superhero fatigue, and in the fact some of these are really bad is another factor. Plus this isn't really a well known character outside of semi-hardcore comic book fans. Theu expected Latino people to come out because he's Mexican, but that doesn't work with them like it does with other cultures. I enjoyed it personally, but I've spent probably $150 dollars going to three movies in the last month. That's just me and my wife. Add kids and that number goes up. May not sound like a lot, but that shyt adds up with all these streaming services too.

I know they're trying to keep good faith with movie theaters, but once they opened up this can of worms with streaming, you'll find a lot of people just waitiing or either ignoring this shyt altogether if it isn't an option.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
:laff:now they gotta be convinced to support what they specifically asked for.

man i'm done. All these difference excuses.
Now they gotta be convinced........

Ummmm yea.... What you think hundreds of millions of PR are for, for a movie?

Convincing you to watch it...

Why do they have to do that??

Cause everything you ask for, isn't always executed great... Case and point... Blue Beetle

What are you talking about? Gunn and Peter are running DC now and the old regime that made all these movies that are coming out are no longer in place. :mjlol: and that's not just DC, the entire Warner Bros. is under a new team and they just had the biggest hit of the year by far with 'Barbie'
