Really good super hero film. It was pretty simple but imo it was simple in the good way. Great family vibes. For those that liked the first 2 ant man films I think they will really enjoy it.

Hopefully this gets DC back on track because outside of the last Batman film it’s been rough for them.

Budget was only $120M but that's probably still a bit high considering they didn't do too much to promote this. Looks like maybe a $25-$30M opening domestic. We'll see what the legs are.

I believe James Gunn said somewhere that he wants to use the character and actor in his universe. He should. The old regime did a nice job with this.

4DX was worth it!

shyt was like a two-hour roller coaster. Any time a big action scene hit, especially the first one where Jaime first gets his powers and jumps into orbit, all the seats were bouncing around like a Disneyland ride. Had the face every time it happened.

Really should put seatbelts on them tho. Somebody could easily get hurt if they're not prepared for it.

As for the movie, I really liked it. The emotional beats hit really hard and the stuff with Jaime and his family was all well-written. They did a good job of making Jaime a sympathetic character who wants to do right by his family without making him an entitled brat.

My only real nitpick was I didn't like or buy any part of the Jaime/Jenni romance. It seemed very forced and formulaic, like they had to do it because the hero always gets the girl. On top of that, Jaime's bum ass is still unemployed. She need to be giving him a job, not the ass.

This was solid. I’d say 6.5-7/10. The villains, especially the woman, tried to tank the flick. And the plot really wasn’t great but this has the most heart of any DC flick to date.

This was better than I expected, but still an average CBM. Was it better than Flash? Overall, yeah. Even more laughs too. But I like Flash more for Keaton.

Straight at this movie having better SFX than Flash. And both came outta WB.

The antagonists were basic AF.
