I was highly anticipating this and it delivered and maybe even exceeded my expectations.
Ev blessed the beats man the whole thing is :wow:
It’s great to see Blu return to form he sounds great on this. Easily one of his best projects and might be my fav since Below the Heavens. Not sure if this is recency bias I gotta sit with this. Absolute 🔥

I was just reading thru the thread and saw you said the same thing about this might being his best since BTH. Now I know I’m not overreacting :russ: this is THAT good.

I love that Domo Genesis and Navy Blue got a feature on here I do wish Ev rapped a bit more on this. That “Wish you were here” track is :mjcry:

Seems like Ev does that tho as dope as he is as an MC when he does a collab where he’s producing, he kinda gets out the way and doesn’t overdo his presence lyrically. Just like Intros, Outros and Interludes he just let Domo cook and didn’t force himself all over the album.

No doubt. Yeah I wish he had a couple more verses too, but so far I actually think on most of his albums he's produced I think he's just done one verse himself and that's it...for Domo, Asia, Ali, Blu, Defari, etc.

Gonna get this album tomorrow, but I was just reading a review and it says it’s got a Kokane feature, just a weird coincidence, but I’ve been rereading Westsiders (by William shaw) and last night was on a chapter detailing how bad financially Kokane was doing after losing his deal, etc.

Must’ve been about the late 90’s then, hopefully he’s doing better now, I always liked his voice, when I heard him on features.

Is Blu crip affiliated? He talks a lot about it. 54st and Figg. Rollin Crip sets.

He broke down where/how he grew up in this interview

TLDR He was a ball player who moved a lot growing up and his mom & step father were very strict, he never listened to rap until high school when he moved in with his biological father.

He grew up in a lot of different hoods but if he is affiliated it probably would’ve been when he lived with his pops in San Pedro. At the end of the song 54th he shouted out Dodge City (a crip hood in San Pedro) and other hoods across LA, the fact he named them first though probably means thats who he was tied in the most with.
