Uncertain grounds
I'm just in fear of volume shooters who are sub-par at defense. They scare me
Tatum would have to pick up the slack now on defense on the perimeter, and now with our lack of capable centers, the interior defense would suffer even more

Our starting center is between Theis and Kanter. So we deff need an upgrade

could start smart and leave tatum at the 4 :yeshrug:

woulda been nice if we still had morris

kemba beal tatum morris theis

Tatum had a horrible game, Kemba was on a minutes restriction and barely played in the 2nd half, refs blatantly cheating for Giannis and only a 7 point loss. I ain't in the business of moral victories, but I have no doubt in my mind we can hang with the Bucks in a 7 game series. Now whether we win is another conversation but I don't think it would go like last year at the very least.

Theis, Smart, Hayward & Wanamaker gave us some good minutes. Hopefully for Wanamaker he can play like he did the first couple of months of the season during this bubble stretch.

Yes yes yes. I don't give a fukk though. The refs looked the other way TWICE in crunch time to avoid having to foul Giannis out on their "home" opener. That shyt was a fukking joke down the stretch. He Runs Theis' Jewels and then Marcus comes away with a clean charge where there is no justifiable argument to say otherwise from the replay. Sad!

Kemba's leadership is so underrated it's criminal

He's the literally the reason they are playing so well. By not saying much, he says alot

Danny was smart to bring someone like him on the team. He's in his prime and can teach budding superstars Jaylen and Jayson how to be a professional

He has that positive attitude that uplifts the team, especially the young guys.

I love my team, but fukk man. Brad Stevens is the Marty Schottenheimer of basketball and we're like those 80's Brown, 90's Chiefs, and 2k Chargers. We put out good teams that find a way to shoot themselves in the foot in close games. Whenever we had a chance to take control of a game we turn it over, waste a possession and take a bad shot. Dudes are still crying to the refs to bail them out, instead of biting down on the mouth piece and just making tough shots. This is the playoffs buddy, stop crying to the refs after every missed shot and play to the whistle. Our team is a reflection of our docile coach. We are not mature enough to understand the importance of every single possession. In must win situations Toronto proves time and time again that they just want it more. They play with more intensity, focus, desperation, and hustle.

sorry for the rant. i'm disgusted. :francis:

Celtics played soft. Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown are the only ones that played with a sense of urgency. Celtics have all that talent, but lack the focus
It also falls on Brad a bit in that he should go with the game plan that was winning the games. Seems like Game 5 and Game 6 had entirely different game plans

Our situation heading into next season:

Guaranteed contracts (9): Kemba, Brown, Tatum, Smart, Grant, Time Lord, Edwards, Langford, Poirier
Player options (2): Hayward, Kanter
Non-guaranteed (3): Theis, Ojeleye, Green
Free agents (3): Wanamaker (Restricted), Waters (Restricted), Tacko (Restricted)
Draft picks (4): 14, 26, 30, 47

Like I said in the ECF thread, Ainge's priorities this offseason need to be upgrading the center position and adding veteran depth to the bench.
