With Lowry and Derozan's contracts and possibly (should be a priority) re-signing FVV it's hard to make space. I would let the bench mob develop and see what we could do in free agency down the line when the bench mob develop into a solid core. Blow this shyt the fukk up and @FireDwaneCasey

It all depends on what MLSE decides is important, there hasn't been a clearer line in the sand.

they are paying 8 mill a year for babcock and leafs haven't been out the first round in 3 years
and are paying casey 6 mill a year and have nothing to show for it as well

raptor tickets are expensive no one is going to pay big bucks to watch a lottery bound team

i think little to nothing of real significance will happen. i mean, maaaaaaaybe they finally move jonas? but even if they do, i doubt we'll get enough back to move the needle for us.
let's be real, mlse is not gonna blow up a squad that just made the #1 seed in the conference just because they lost to lebron james (again). sure, the east is getting better and better but as of right now, they still have a relatively successful money-maker of a team. they win a lot of regular season games, sell out the acc, sell a ton of merch, have lucrative tv deals, they get fans excited...they're not gonna fukk with that until they have to.

The easiest thing in sports is to sell hope, how else did Colangelo keep his job for 5 years after being out of the playoffs for years?
They'll definitely sell the public on the bench having a more prominent role next year
But I definitely think most of those guys are role players, at best. Siakam, FVV and Delon are great complimentary pieces. If Powell gets back to how he was two years ago, his contract would be worth it. I think Poeltl is a good player, but he's too timid.
OG is definitely a core player. One thing that's for sure from this playoffs: our front court is slow, clumsy and besides Siakam, not very athletic. Poeltl is a quick runner, but he is so soft and the ball slips through his hands so much that it becomes frustrating to watch. This team needs an athlete in the frontcourt.
