Thanks for explaining that me. My girl used to go to dominican salons and they were ruining her hair. She's gone natural and hasn't been to a salon since. Could you recommend me a good product to keep my hair soft and moisturized ? My dreads are :flabbynsick: status

The excessive amount of heat ruined her hair!
I actually make a lot of the stuff i use on my hair, but you want to use things that (naturally) add moisture!

It is an allow thing tho because if it wasn't they wouldn't be the only ones stealing ideas and running off into the sunset with them. Outside of Suge knight, how many black people do you know of that stole ideas from some whitey, ran off and made a fortune with it then proceeded to rewrite the history of what took place to the point that their future generations are formally taught the revised history of events while the truth goes unheard. I haven't heard of any. Why? Because they don't allow it to happen.

I believe it does matter that some white people think some other white person came up with that new salon style. A lie unchallenged becomes the truth and you know how these white people are, "why are they waiting 30 years to say we stole this idea from them? If we really did steal the idea from them wouldn't they have come forward before now?". CASE DISMISSED!

You also say you'd be concerned if they were putting other people out of business but by the time it gets to that point it's already to late for your concern to matter. Why not be concerned before they put the stores out of business so that you could possibly prevent it from taking place?

When it comes to hair I don't think businesses are in danger. Majority of black and Spanish people do not trust whites with their hair.

They steal all the time they only people shocked, fooled and amazed are other white people. I could care less about their ignorance because half the time nothing is going to change that. They aren't going stop and say "OMG you stole this idea let me go to a Dominican shop!" The owners aren't going to close the salons. They will continue to deny and make money of those white people.

I see what you are saying but this not a good example to make this case.

Because this won't affect the community at all. They weren't going to bring revenue here either way. It's been around they weren't flocking. They want to go where they feel safe and comfortable.
Yea, but they definately would like to steal the revenue from here

Speaking from experience, if you do decide to go to a natural stylist, be sure she's shown and proved (on other heads but yours) that she knows what she's doing! They will say they can do hair (for the money it brings) but will eff your hair up!

Already happened, friend did the Organix Brazilian keratin treatment on me. She damaged my curl pattern on some small parts of my hair :to: She did too much with the flat iron. :to:

Its ok now though. @ANewClassic can you say your beauty shop or too confidential?
