top n frisk is bs. mathematically it makes perfect sense to use it to help meet quotas.
it exempts officers from doin actual police work and basically has them rolling the dice getting lucky by making actual arrests on 2 out of 30 stops becuz they randomly find some weed or a weapon.

very little of these frisks turn up anything. wen they do find something they geta pat on the back as if they were doing real work

and yes it degrades u to second class citizen level, the disrespect these pigs excersise is unbeleivable. theyll curse u out into oblivion hoping u so much as repeat a word they utter hoping to hit u with disorderly if they have nothing else.

the NYPD.. the amount of ppl locked up over weed is disgusting.

An embattled Mayor Bloomberg stood by his controversial comments on the NYPD’s stop and frisk policy Sunday — and unloaded on his critics.

“The numbers don’t lie,” Bloomberg said, defending Friday’s remark that “we disproportionately stop whites too much and minorities too little.”

His office noted that 87% of people stopped under the policy in 2012 were black or Latino, but more than 90% murder suspects were identified by witnesses or victims black or Latino.

And 9% of those stopped were white, though just 7% of suspects were ID’d as white.

The comments were slammed over the weekend by the Rev. Al Sharpton and Democratic mayoral candidates, but Bloomberg said Sharpton needs to focus more on “helping the kids in this city.”

“It’s sad he got away from that, became a television star and doesn't seem to focus on the kids who just don't have the education that they need to compete and don't have a structured family at home that can help.”

The candidates, he added, should focus on solutions to the underlying problems instead of trying to “create an issue.”

Also on Sunday, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-Brooklyn) called for the a federal monitor to oversee the NYPD.

“The mayor’s comments were so troubling” that the Department of Justice needs to get involved now, Jeffries said.

“The mayor has shown no willingness to reign in the NYPD,” he said.

Firstly, Ive been pulled over, taken out of my car, searched, had my whole car searched, and arrested.....it was bs, it got thrown out in court but still, that fukked my shyt up. You google my name now, and it says ive been arrested for a felony possession of pot! I have younger family with the same name as me. That shyt blows especially when it got thrown out in court!!!!!!

yesterday i was driving home and what, the exits are closed with no warning!!!!.........i gotta go on the fukking bridge?????? ah shyt........toll guy tells me hey u got fukked by bloomberg! i can give you a pass to come back for free, but you gotta pay me 7.50! im like, what the fukk. Literally drove back and forth over the bridge to hand the city money. Toll guy said at least i didnt have to pay both ways like people had to last year!

ive lived in NYC for over a decade and I've never been stopped for a frisk. I'm almost as dark as Wesley Snipes, but I stay out of the troubled neighborhoods.

People act like this is happening in every area of the city...as if the nypd are stopping black men as they walk into Starbucks on Lexington Ave. In reality its just the "hot spots" that have this going on.
