New York is pushing out poor black and Latino slowly but surely. The world market wants to live NYC. Chinese and Russians are ready to by up areas they are being gentrified. Crime and poverty go together like ketchup and french fries...peanut butter and jelly. This will only be used to increase incarceration and to implicate people for crimes that occurred during times that they come in and out of the projects. You can easily be accused of a crime based on evidence of a fingerprint scanner that you were in and around the area between certain times. Even without hardcore evidence. Anybody supporting this, does not see that this will be used as another tool to throw innocent black man in jail. If you have any kind of record, even if you are trying to live clean...you will be snatched up even quicker.

Well cacberg is about to be outta here...:blessed:

But what I'm saying is you could probably afford it...things don't get better over night...All of NYC will be gentrified in the future...what's better than grabbing something that WILL increase in market value???...this is how you flip.....you can't wait for it to be gentrified then think you're gonna get a steal of a deal...

we have to stay in our communities...and make them better instead of.taking flight....
...now of you just want to get big ass crib in the south..I ain't mad at you...but thats preference...not necessarily because you have to..

It wasn't a choice for me per se, tbh I couldn't afford it and haven't lived there in almost a decade, because of the fact that I was homeless and I got a chance and a new start and a new life somewhere else. I probably would've stayed in NY because I was born and bred there and New Yorkers have too much pride. If there's an opportunity that I can't pass up to own a place, then I'd jump at the chance but the city is too ridiculous for me right now. Finger prints, Stop and Frisk, so many damn dirty cops killin our brothas and getting off scot free? They need a complete change and fast, Bloomberg is reckless.

That is probably my biggest problem with many people from my home. Many view the rest of the United States as some sort of wasteland, when its not. They do not realize how a little sacrifice in what they want can allow them to be able to put a plan together towards better financial stability, but damn that!

Yeah my mom won't leave her spot in Manhattan either. She is still trying to get everyone to move back "home" because she doesn't want to leave.

I don't even understand what theyre holding on to honestly it's a whole world outside of NY there are other great metropolitan cities too that you'd probably be able to afford and have some change left over.

we gotta fight those policies...those policies are designed to get us to run out.of NYC..

Speaking from a black perspective I don't think a black person can have TOO much pride :manny:

if you're black and you still got some.pride.left after all the fukkery that's been done to us :salute:

That dirty cop killing our brothers is a NATION wide problem....where ever you go you will have that problem
In your situation I hear you ...but if we want shyt to change...and we leave...how exactly is that going to get done....??

I moved when I was 17 homie lol But then I came back for about 3 years to live with mom dukes cause she was having some health issues.

Black pride? Let u tell it, my grand dad made me read, memorize, and recite books about African/black history when I was a little girl. I hope the situation'll change, but I'm in no position to help, shyt I need help my damn self. And the mans always tryna keep us down. Something's gotta give tho.

Blacks and Hispanic should want to leave NYC. We all know something major is going to happen there sooner or later. You see what happened during Hurricane Sandy. The majority of Black/Hispanic neighborhoods was fine, and the CACs caught hell. Now what does that tell you?
