Damn @kingofnyc tighten up on your Pimpin and stop letting spicy ranch bytches attempt to talk for you
Imagine what more that could have been done if we had the matching salaries and positions of yts. Sure we had good jobs, but they had better paying ones because of...well you know. That should have been layup. The 1960 was the peak/ goat time of the black family.
Manufacturing Jobs were plentiful enough for many black men to buy homes and support families.
Before imagination, As the largest minority group, we were a voting block big enough to demand the civil rights act and the voting rights act.
The femeinist movement hadn't changed our value system with regards to the family unit..

"Every town got an Elm Street. .. but not a Freddy Krueger"
Black people were literally being hung for causing any minor inconvenience for a wyte man such as doing better than them financially or educational wise. But he says that was a perfect time. That's why they're not taken seriously and are seen as joke even by the wyte people they try so hard to cozy up to. His voice was cracking so he didn't even believe what he was saying...smh
And what's worse...black people are agreeing and saying that it was the peak for black people too...Imagine the freedoms black people enjoy today. The modern conveniences. Office or non labor intensive jobs, A/C in most homes, 70 inch flat screens. iPhones. Ability to connect with anybody on the planet in a matter of seconds. Ability to fly to the other side of the country for $300 bucks. Etc.
And someone looks you in the face and tells you they want to go back to 1880 or the 1963 just to defend a political party and conservative ideology.
